Commentary for I Samuel 23:16

וַיָּ֙קָם֙ יְהוֹנָתָ֣ן בֶּן־שָׁא֔וּל וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ אֶל־דָּוִ֖ד חֹ֑רְשָׁה וַיְחַזֵּ֥ק אֶת־יָד֖וֹ בֵּאלֹהִֽים׃

And Jonathan Saul’s son arose, and went to David into the wood, and strengthened his hand in God.

And he strengthened his hand. He renewed the covenant which was between them.
